1. How can I register for the conference?

Registration will open in April 2025. For updates, please visit the official conference website at www.ramiran2025.nl or contact the organizing committee at ramiran2025@wur.nl.

2. Will there be opportunities to present my research?

Yes, the conference encourages the submission of abstracts for both oral and poster presentations. The abstract submission process opened on December 5, 2024, and will close on February 15, 2025. Guidelines for submission are available on the conference website.

3. How will the abstracts be evaluated?

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee based on relevance to the conference themes, scientific quality, and clarity of presentation. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified after the review process is completed. More details on the evaluation criteria and process can be found on the conference website.

4. What topics will be covered in the conference sessions?

The conference will cover a range of topics related to the application of organic resources in agriculture, organized into seven sessions:

• GHG Emissions

• Air Quality

• Water Quality

• Soil Quality

• Integral Analysis

• Policy and Regulation

Each session will explore specific aspects of these topics, providing a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in managing organic resources in agriculture. If you are uncertain about which session best fits your abstract, please email the organizing committee at ramiran2025@wur.nl for guidance. They will help you determine the most suitable session based on your research topic.

5. What are the key dates I should be aware of?

• Abstract Submission Deadline: February 28, 2025

• Registration opens: April 11, 2025

• Conference dates: October 15-17, 2025

6. What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your participation in RAMIRAN 2025, the following cancellation fees apply:

• Until July 4, 2025: €100 cancellation fee

• Until August 4, 2025 (10 weeks before the conference): €250 cancellation fee

• After August 4, 2025: No refund available

If you wish to cancel your registration, please contact the organizing committee at ramiran2025@wur.nl as soon as possible.

7. Is the conference venue accessible for individuals with disabilities?

Yes, the Wageningen International Congress Centre (WICC) is committed to providing accessible facilities for all attendees. The venue offers wheelchair access, accessible restrooms, and other amenities to accommodate individuals with disabilities. If you have specific accessibility requirements (also with regard to the excursions), please contact the organizing committee at ramiran2025@wur.nl to ensure your needs are met.

8. How will I know to which excursion I am assigned?

You can indicate your top 3 preference during the registration process. Once the registrations are closed (September 14), you will receive a separate email confirming which excursion you are assigned to. If you have specific preferences or accessibility requirements, please make sure to mention them during the registration process.

9. Will drinking bottles be provided at the conference?

No, drinking bottles will not be provided. Tap water in the Netherlands is of good drinking quality, so to reduce waste and promote sustainability, we encourage all participants to bring their own reusable water bottles.

10. Are there any price reductions or discounts available for PhD students?

Currently, RAMIRAN 2025 does not offer specific discounts for PhD students. All attendees are subject to the standard registration fees. However, PhD students are encouraged to explore funding opportunities through their home institutions or external organizations that support conference participation. Some universities offer conference grants to support students presenting their research.

11. Do I need a visa to attend the conference?

RAMIRAN 2025 does not handle visa applications. If you require a visa to enter the Netherlands, please consult the official Dutch government website for up-to-date visa information and application procedures: https://www.netherlandsworldwide.nl/visa-the-netherlands/visa-required. We recommend applying well in advance to avoid delays.

12. What clothing should I bring?

The weather in The Netherlands in October can be unpredictable, with a mix of rain and cool temperatures. We recommend bringing warm and waterproof clothing, including a rain jacket and comfortable shoes, especially for the excursions, which may involve outdoor activities.

13. Where can I find practical information about Wageningen?

For general information about Wageningen, including opening hours of shops, restaurants, and local attractions, you can visit the official tourism website: www.visitwageningen.nl. Most shops are open from Monday to Saturday, with limited openings on Sundays. Restaurants generally serve dinner from 17:00 to 22:00.

14. How can I travel to Wageningen?

Detailed travel information, including recommended routes by train, bus, and car, can be found on the RAMIRAN 2025 website under ‘Venue’ -> ‘Transportation’. The Netherlands are very accessible by train thanks to direct connections with Paris, London, Venice, and cities in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium. Wageningen is easily accessible from major train stations (Arnhem, Utrecht, Amsterdam) and airports such as Schiphol (Amsterdam) and Düsseldorf.

15. Can my partner or accompanying person join the conference?

RAMIRAN 2025 does not offer a specific program for accompanying persons. However, partners and travel companions are welcome to explore Wageningen and its surroundings independently. More information about local attractions and activities can be found at www.visitwageningen.nl. If your companion would like to join the conference dinner, please contact the organizing committee for availability and pricing.
